Basic Overview of Run Free Ranch’s Camp Program.

Camp is an 5-day long session not to exceed 15 campers, including 3-4 counselors and 2-3 administrators. Campers will be given opportunities to reinforce critical life skills necessary for success in our society. Activities offered will be designed to nurture, teach and build and reinforce confidence and self-esteem. Target areas for development include: nutrition and cooking, team building, nature awareness, emotional competence, communication and social skills. The camp will feature hiking, giving campers direct exposure and an enhanced appreciation of nature and its power and inspiration. Campers will share in the daily work of the camp, including food preparation and clean up and caring for our surroundings.  They will also be given time for arts and journal writing.

We are visited by at least 3 mentors during the week.  We have varied talents shared, such as a Singer/Songwriter, Nutritionist & Pilates Instructor, Yoga Instructor, Artists, Poetry Lessons, and more.

Camp concludes with an individual sharing a journal entry with the group.

We do meet monthly throughout the year to work on lessons learned at camp, visit museums and points of interest in our region which will further expand our frame of reference.  PLEASE visit our Facebook page for photos of our many outings.
